Notes From Mark

God hears us when we call. Those are incredibly great words to hear. To truly know that our wonderful God listens not just to us but also listens for us, is a blessing in and of itself. But the last part of that statement “when we call,” is what I am talking about. When we make the effort to call upon God and seek Him, means we have come to the place where our pride no longer gets in the way of our relationship with God. It means we recognize our situation and know we cannot make it on our own and we cry out to Him. We humble ourselves before God.

If we are living our lives and we are striving to live for God, yet the way seems stubborn against us, maybe it is time to call out to God. If we are trying to force things through and nothing seems to fit, maybe it’s time to call out to God. If we are desperate in need of Him and our soul is longing for God yet our hearts are not repentant, maybe it’s time to call out to God. Psalm 107 is a beautiful Psalm that looks at the way man rebels against God and then when we cry out to God He Hears our cries and DELIVERS us! Call out to God today!

Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
He sent out his word and healed them,
and delivered them from their destruction.
Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!
