Good news! God is still in control! Though the storms in our life may seem overwhelming, God is walking on the water towards us. When the hurts of our bodies brings, us to despair God’s hand is reaching out for us. He is there watching over us in each and every
circumstance. As we live our lives for Christ, there may be times when we not only feel isolated, we are isolated from those we love, from our church, from our that which we desire. Ourselves may bring on these times, or maybe it is because that is where God has us right now, only you know. But He is there. Psalm 42 describes the times when we are in a dry, lonely place and the heart is yearning for God. Yearning to be in His presence to worship with the people. The psalmist is hurting and crying out. Yet it is His hope in God that spurs him on. Because he knows that God is there even when we don’t sense Him. How blessed we are that the
presence of God in our lives is not up to the whims and emotions of our life! Thank God for His goodness. Cry out for joy that God is for us! Praise His name continually for He is good.

As a deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for You, God.
I thirst for God, the living God. . . .
Deep calls to deep in the roar of Your waterfalls;
all Your breakers and Your billows have swept over me.

The Lord will send His faithful love by day;
His song will be with me in the night —
a prayer to the God of my life. Psalm 42:1.7-8
