Do you ever feel like just giving up? You feel like you just want to throw in the towel and walk away. I am sure you have at one point or another. Sometimes it seems like no matter how hard we try we just are not having the impact we want in our life and those around us. It is at these times when I have to remind myself that I cannot change anyone. God has instructed me to live my life for His glory and His alone. When I try to “take charge” and put my plan in action it never goes well. I must come to the place in my own heart and life where my heart and desire is not to change, but to love. To share compassion and mercy with those in need regardless of circumstance is what is required of me. Perhaps it would just be best on my part and frankly on all Christians is that when we read those words, which do not leave wiggle room in the scriptures, then we should do them without question. Such as the verse in Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

God requires of me to do justice love kindness and walk humbly with Him. This is not optional if my faith is genuine. Let us be genuine in our faith. When we do this things like commitment, unity and growing mature Christians will take care of themselves.
