Sunday was a sweet day of worship at Emmanuel.

Roger did a wonderful job honoring our High School graduates. It was so good to hear the parent’s prayer, blessing and challenge to our students. It was a reminder to me to be faithful always. Richard’s Testimony of reliance on God and gratefulness for his family and church family spoke to all that were present. When hearts are filled with the bounty of God’s love and grace, praise comes from the heart and that is what we did in lifting our voices in praise. It was a good day!

The phrase “Your praise will ever be on my lips” is stuck in my mind, which is a good thing to be stuck in there. But it has been a reminder to me that is the way I need to be always. In those times of frustration I hear those words. In times of laughter again I hear those words. When I comfort others or am comforted by others I hear those words. I know that if I live my life with the praises of God on my lips, it will be known to others and God’s love will be displayed. That is what I want in my life. Let’s live that way as the body of Christ with His praise always on our lips.

Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. Hebrews 13:5
