Coaster

I don’t know about you but I like roller coasters. I mean I really love them. A few weeks ago we took out family to an amusement park and I got to ride lots of roller coasters. It was great, the weather was not too hot, the lines where incredibly short and my oldest two daughters are finally tall enough to ride any ride in the park. We had a plan, ride every coaster before we left that day. So we started on one side of the park and made our way to the other side of the park. As we rode each coaster it became more and more difficult to convince one of my daughters to continue on our mission. She made it through 3 roller coasters and she was done. We tried other ways to get her on the last 2 but to no avail. In the end we had to postpone our mission till another day.

Now as my daughters have gotten bigger they have grown braver. A few years ago it was very difficult to get my oldest on any coaster, now she loves them. I’m hoping that the same thing happens with my other daughters. As we grow and mature in our walk with Christ we will grow bolder and braver through the Holy Spirit. We may need to postpone some tasks and goals till we mature but don’t quit, keep striving to be disciples of Christ.

1 Peter 2:1-3 [1] So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. [2] Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation—[3] if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. (ESV)
