This coming Sunday evening, we will have our annual fellowship meal and baptism service at Crowder Lake. Make plans now to attend! But first, join us next Sunday for Sunday School and worship in the morning. That afternoon, come early to the lake (4:30
p.m.) to play some lawn games. Bring a couple of dishes for the potluck meal. We will have our fellowship meal at 6 p.m. and will follow with a baptism service. If you have not been baptized, then this is your opportunity to do so and do so in a unique and historical location. Please contact me if you would like to be baptized. Some of you may not know, that in our church’s history, Emmanuel baptized in Cobb Creek, which runs into Crowder Lake. The following Sunday is Connect Sunday. Join us for breakfast at 9 a.m. and our Sunday School Challenge at 9:45 a.m. This is a high-attendance Sunday and awards will be given to those Sunday school classes that set high marks. At 10:45 a.m. we will have a celebration service followed by a “party in the parking lot!” The afterchurch fellowship will have food trucks, inflatables, music, free hotdogs/chips/water, and a snow-cone truck. Then go home and sleep it off…take a big nap…and enjoy the rest of your Sunday. It is going to be fun! I look forward to seeing you these next two special Sundays.
