If you ask successful people, how they became successful, most would tell you the key was hard work. Success doesn’t not come easy. Once upon a time, an immigrant to America had heard that “every thing you touch in America turns to gold.” He heard “you make money left and right.” So he came to America with the plan to make a bunch of money and go back to his home country. He was here for a couple of weeks…then four weeks…then six weeks. He wasn’t making a dime. So, he went to church to pray about what to do next. At the church, he runs into someone, tells them his story, and asks what to do next. They simply responded with… “You might want to get a job if you want to make some money!” To which the immigrant replied… “Are you crazy! If I had wanted to work, I’d have stayed home!” Some of us want to be successful, but we don’t want to do the work it takes to be successful. For Emmanuel to be successful…for Emmanuel to accomplish all that God has for us to do…we must ALL take part in the work and serve God.
