Our achievements largely depend on our desire. Whether we succeed or fail depends on our desire and motivation. I believe our church has a desire to accomplish great things for God. In order to succeed, we must be motivated and say, “We want to do this.”
Psalm 20:4 says “May He give you the desires of your heart, and make all your plans succeed.”
Our church has a desire. Our church has motivation. Our church has taken initiative. We have been decisive and we have taken action. We have put forth effort, energy and determination. We have shown persistence and patience. Our motivation is to bring honor and glory to God. Emmanuel desires to reach our college and community for Christ. We have tried different things. Some have had success. Some did not lead to the outcome we desired. A study conducted at UCLA reveals that every great person faced failure before becoming successful. So, we will try again. Soon, Emmanuel will have a contemporary worship service on Sunday nights. We will invite college students. We will invite young people and young couples. We will invite the parents of our youth and children who come on Wednesday nights. Join me as we seek to reach our community for Christ. We need to be there and bring people with us.
