In everything we do, we ought to seek competence…to do things right and for the glory of God. The definition of competence is “the ability to do something successfully or efficiently.” God is not mediocre and neither should we be mediocre. We should not want to just get by…to do the minimum…to be so so. We should put forth the effort to do things right, and to do them right the first time. Let’s not waste our efforts…let’s not waste our time…let’s be competent and efficient in our work for the Lord. And if we make a bad decision, or make a mistake, let’s learn from it and not repeat it. God deserves our best.
