As we spend the week at Falls Creek our theme is FINISHED. Philippians 1:6 talks about God being faithful to complete the work began in us as followers of Christ. It is a reminder to me that I am a work in progress and will be until I take my final breath. Yet further in the chapter Paul writes:
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9-11
This is my “how” to complete the journey. My love must abound more than I can imagine – more and more. This love when applied using knowledge and discernment will show me and guide me in my life, in those everyday decisions when I need to show Christ, in those personal times when Christ must shine through, in other words always. My prayer is that my love will abound and that is my prayer for you as well!
