I am thankful for Emmanuel! In the past few weeks we as a church have had opportunities to reach out and help people within our church and community, and you have done it. Thank you to those who were able to go to Claremore and help the Howells move to their new home! Thank you to those who were able to help unload and welcome them to Weatherford. For those who have helped at the Food Pantry and signed-up for Meals on Wheels, thank you. For the acts of kindness and giving that you have done without anyone knowing thank you!
People have volunteered to help with our Wednesdays After School (we can use more help), thank you for your willingness to serve. Let me encourage us to not become satisfied with where we are. There is a city around us in need of the Good News of Jesus Christ. In 2 weeks you can continue reaching out by adopting a Wednesday After School Family. We will visit on the 11th inviting them to our Encounter service. Continue building that relationship through the year. Send birthday cards, find out some needs that you can meet, sit with the child on Wednesdays for meal time, call and invite to the Forgiven Quartet on Sept. 25 Be Christ to them and He will work wonders in your life and theirs. It is good to be at EBC spread the news!
