Monday was a great night at our annual Fall Festival. Thank you to each one who gave of their time and resources to make this event happen. There is no way one person could do this. I am humbled by the selfless givers that I am blessed to work with. Here are the bare numbers, Nearly 1000 in attendance with over 170 EBC members here, ¾ of those as workers. Over 450 of
those that came said they attended another church. Over 300 people told us they did not attend church representing nearly 70 families. Let that sink in. 300+ un-churched people in our facility, 1 ½ times our Sunday AM crowd. 68 un-churched families that are needing to see Christ’s love in action through our word and actions. God has once again poured out blessings on us. Our response will truly say what we believe. Will we contact these families? Will we pray for these people? Will our hearts melt for these souls that need Christ and may not even be aware? I am praying yes. Yes to each question. Praying that my heart melt with God’s love for these families. In the next few Sundays you should be getting peoples names in Sunday School – please take time to pray for these names that they will become real to you. Take time to contact these people that their life will intersect with yours. Living the life of Christ is sometimes messy; I pray we are willing to do just that.
Celebrate the bounty God has given us. Now let us pull together to share Christ in the manner He leads each one.
Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them. “If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
