It is easy to get caught up in the excitement and chaos of day-to-day living. When things seemingly are out of control, our impulse is to try and fix the situation and restore order. This cannot always be done and even when we fix things, our idea of fixed may be different than another persons and thus chaos still exists. What to do? Trust in God. This is the perfect opportunity to put in practice our belief that God is sovereign. He is in control and there is nothing that escapes His notice. Trust the Lord. When things spiral out of control, put your faith firmly planted in God. This is not easy but absolutely necessary to do if we are to grow in our faith with God. We know His Word says,
“Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
So in our walk with God or maybe more aptly put in living our life, we come to places where it does not make sense to do what God says, like “turn the other cheek”, Love your enemies, and go beyond the expected for those who are not your friends. When this happens stop thinking with your human heart and emotions. Take a step of faith and do what God says. He is with you and will never leave you. Trust Him! The next verse following says,
“In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”
So trust His promise and allow yourself to be led. God’s love for you is so immense and pure; He can do nothing but the best for you.
Singing His Praises!
