Last week, I mentioned that there have been times when thought is given about Sunday nights. Discussions are held. Do we continue to have services on Sunday nights? People vote by their attendance and attendance is low. So, do we cancel Sunday night services like many churches have done? I love Sunday nights… they are special…that is why I want to continue having them. Recently, Pastor Jeremy Freeman wrote about Sunday nights. His church does have Sunday night worship. Jeremy expressed five reasons he believes Sunday Night worship services are of value and why he thinks church members should faithfully attend. The last two are…
- Fourth, Sunday mornings are busy and hectic. Sunday nights allow for opportunity to connect deeper with other church members. The pace is slower on Sunday nights and it affords time to visit both before and after the service. It’s a great time to connect a little deeper with the body of Christ.
- Fifth, attending on Sunday nights shows value and priority to the Body of Christ. In a day and age where people will attend sport practices and games, multiple nights of week, church often takes a back seat. It is a joy and privilege to gather together, and when we do it often, it speaks to the value and priority it is in our lives. There are other reasons to attend on Sunday nights, but those are just five quick reasons. Please consider making attendance on Sunday nights a priority…not once a month, but regularly. Trust me, you will be blessed!
