Recently there has been a new Netflix Series that has caused a lot of attention. 13 Reasons Why is very culturally relevant for today. It is based off a novel that follows a high school student, Hannah Baker, who takes her own life. Before she does she records 13 tapes (yes cassette tapes, hello 80’s) with the 13 reasons why she chose to take her life. Nyla Watson, one of our Teachers and Youth Parents post a link this week to a blog by Lauren Faith. I loved the post and wanted to share it with you this week to remember that there is hope.

- Death has already BEEN DEFEATED; whatever you are fighting, Jesus already died for it.
- YOU HAVE A PURPOSE.
- Ultimately, you aren’t in control, GOD IS.
- Our God is BIGGER.
- You can’t give victory to the enemy. Those lies you hear, are solely of the enemy. Don’t let him win.
- You aren’t alone.
- God’s plans for you are to be PROSPEROUS. It’s not cliché, it’s the truth.”
