Someone once said that without planning, our dreams stay just that…dreams. Most people going on vacation make plans. In fact, most people spend more time planning their vacations than they do planning their lives. A recent study found that only 3% of people have written goals, 7% have some fuzzy ones, and 90% have no goals. A follow-up survey revealed that the 3% who had
written goals achieved more than the other 97% put together. In 1 Peter 1:13, Peter says,
“Prepare your minds for action.”
We are to plan and then take action. Philippians 3:14 says
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me.”
God has a plan for us. It is our duty to discover that plan…to seek His will for us. Without plans there is no commitment and without commitment there is no progress. Someone once said “The moment one definitely commits oneself to a positive goal, God moves in and supports the process.” I believe that is true if we have dedicated our planning to God and have sought His will. Join me in praying for God’s plan for Emmanuel. We desire to reach the lost in Weatherford…to disciple believers…and to serve God in such a way to bring Him honor and glory.
