Thank you for a good day this past Sunday. It was good to have a fuller house and it was good to fellowship with each other. Thank you to the many who helped make the day a success!
God’s Word is filled with passages that encourage us to build up one another. One of these is found in Hebrews 3:12-14. Reminding believers about those Israelites who lived in rebellion in the desert and they were not allowed to enter into the Promised Land but died in the wilderness we are told to exhort one another, to stand with each one as we live our lives. This requires us to take action and help give aid and not passing by advice or criticism form a distance. This life of living for Christ is messy and inconvenient on earth but may we be willing to share the love of Christ with one another.
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
We are getting ready to begin a youth/adult handbell choir at EBC. If you are interested watch for the announcement. This is an exciting new ministry of our church. It is open to everyone regardless of musical skill or knowledge. I hope you will be willing to take part!
