Matthew 14: 28-33
[28] And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” [29] He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. [30] But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” [31] Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” [32] And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. [33] And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” (ESV)
SO many times as we begin to walk with Jesus we try so hard to just do it ourselves. Our intentions and our thoughts are usually pure we try to do the right things. The problem is we are trying to blindly “Hit” a target in a game we have never played or only have a very limited knowledge of. Have you ever played a game with someone who was really, really good and knew everything about the game? Or maybe they even invented the game?
What happens when we begin walking with God who created life? How much more successful would we be in our walk with Christ if we allowed him to show us all the power-ups, all the hidden secrets, all the hidden levels and the tricks to beat all the bosses. No longer would we just be luckily getting a “Hit” and a whole lot of “misses” but we would be Victories through Christ.
