When you have 4 (I mean 5) kids that are all under 10 you become very familiar with cartoons. One that has been played at our house is Finding Nemo. In the movie Dory sings a little tune, “Keep on Swimming”. This has played throughout my head during times of stress and doubt in my spiritual life. I don’t “sit” well, even on my day off when I know that I need to be at home with my family, I still find myself with a home “to-do” list of things that not only I need to do, but just things that will stop me from sitting.

Know I also know that this is not for everyone and also not always good for me, but in times of stress and doubt I have to keep myself to “Keep on Swimming” don’t stop serving, don’t stop connecting with Jesus because if I stop, then I will only grow further away from him. Our walk with Jesus, our discipleship with him will never stay still. We are either growing closer to him or drifting away. The tide will always work against us, so remember that even in stormy seas…Keep on Swimming

Hebrews 12:1–2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
