God knows. Many of us have said this phrase, sometimes in a light-hearted manner, sometimes to console. But you know what, it’s true. God knows. Two words that have great impact on our lives. I am not saying this in order to bring guilt like God knows what you are doing or thinking (He does). Rather I am talking about God knows what you and I go through
and it matters to Him. He knows what it is that brings a smile or an outright belly laugh. God knows where you run when you need to get away both the seen and unseen. God knows when temptations strike and how hard it is to resist. He knows the pain of back stabbing friends and He knows the peace of quiet companionship.
He knows because He came to earth and dwelt among us. He knows because He did not hold Himself above but brought Himself low to where you and I grind it out each day. The salvation He offers is borne from the experiences of earth and the love for us. He knows me and I am thankful.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
