Notes From Mark

Sunday evening was an enjoyable evening in the park. The weather was perfect and the “feel” of the night was great! Thank you to those who helped with set up and tear down. To Aaron, Scott, Jeff Roger, Chelsea, Sharon and Cassie, thank you for leading us in worship. It was fun.

Seeing the church body in motion, working together, praising God together is a beautiful sight. Knowing that despite our differences and sometimes because of them we come together with one purpose and thought which is to worship God. This is done in many ways. There is our corporate worship on Sundays, there is the ministry of individuals in our church as they carry Christ to friends and family. There is worship in the chaos of Wednesdays. There is worship when we glorify God. When we take the light off of ourselves and tell the world of God’s great love. One of the gifts of this is that when we are working for and worshiping Christ through the week, when we meet on Sunday our worship is enhanced beyond ourselves because we have been letting God speak through us all week.

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1John 3:16-18
