These are exciting times for EBC. But then it is always exciting when one decides to live for God and see what He has in store for each one of our lives. But this time in particular as we begin in earnest the process of seeking our new pastor. It all begins with prayer. Imagine 200 people praying every day for God to move and work in the life of this church, our search committee, our own hearts. Imagine sincerely praying that God would be free to work in our lives regardless of our personal agenda. Regardless of our wants and desires. Regardless of what we think is right or just giving up our right to be right and letting God speak. And not just speak but then being obedient when He does. Imagine! What I’m ready for is this to be lived out in a church that I attend during my life-time. So why not now? Let’s pray putting aside all encumbrances and seeking God’s will for our lives and the life of His church at 719 N Kansas (the physical address, but His EBC church has gone world-wide). So my exhortation to myself and to you is to pray!
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. I John 5:14-15
