I have put off writing this article for the past 2 days. Part of the delay was that I have been cleaning and resting up from last week at Falls Creek, the other side was that I really don’t know what to say. The quick turn around from Falls Creek to Fall School planning is so quick but we really had an amazing week at Falls Creek that I really don’t want to move on yet. Last week at Falls Creek we had many highs and a few lows. Monday we experience many of our campers and Leaders not really know what to expect from camp, as they had never been before. When you grow up at Falls Creek you really forget the sheer magnitude of it all. By Tuesday everyone started to settle in as we dove hard into the Gospel and made an apology-free cry to our Lost Students. We saw 4 students come to know Christ in the first altar call of the week. God didn’t slow down. He continued to Show Up, Show Out and Show Off. As the week continued we saw more students come to know Christ, Rededicate their lives to him and even surrender to the ministry. We watched as our student leaders began to emerge and take up their place as the foundations of our ministry through their examples. Like I said before, there is a lot to get planned for the Fall, but for right now, I’m going to relax and celebrate what God did this last week.
