Notes from Mark

This is an exciting moment of time in the life of Emmanuel Baptist Church. This weekend Clint Carter and his family will be with us as together we continue to seek the one who will become our next pastor. Our Search Committee has been diligent and persistent in seeking the person whom they feel God is leading. This person is Clint Carter. Please make every effort this weekend to get acquainted with Clint and his family. We, as a church can meet them on Saturday from 1-4 PM in the Gym. Sunday I know you will be excited to hear him bring God’s message in our morning an evening services. As a church we need and must continue to pray. Pray for Clint and his family, pray for our church and pray for your own self that each one of us will be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. As you pray for this exciting time pray for those friends who do not know Christ as their Savior. When we are faithful in our seeking and prayers, our God is always faithful to supply our every need.

Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound! Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.
