Notes from Mark

Notes from Mark

Praise is an integral aspect of worship. It comes in a myriad of forms. There is praise in our prayers, in
our words, in our actions and in our songs. We have thoughts of praise and sometimes there is praise
in our silence. When we talk about worship and it is directed to and about God then praise is the
outpouring of our love of God. Praise is the recognition that God is supreme in our lives. Praise is our
job, our purpose.

What happens when we praise? Well it aligns things in our life. If our priorities are out of whack
praise brings them back in line. If our thoughts and actions do not point to God praise brings those
thoughts and purposes back in line with God’s heart. Why? Because praise is the recognition that God
is King and in control and He has saved His people. When that becomes our focus and thought then
our praise becomes honest and pure.

And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I
will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this
heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. Revelation 21:6-7
