Thank you church for allowing me to be gone this past week. It is good to be able to spend time with family. It
was also a mixed time knowing this would be Bro. David’s last Sunday. David has been pastor, sounding board
and friend to me during my years at EBC. I am grateful to him and thank him for giving himself to the work at
Emmanuel. He will be missed.
EBC family I want to encourage each one of us to remain faithful in our walk with Christ. When we do this we
will remain faithful to our families, our jobs and our church responsibilties. God has called us to help Him in His
work and there is much to do even here in Weatherford. What each one of us can do is to pray. Pray for our
Search Committee daily. Pray for our staff, pray for our church family. There is power in prayer, but only if we
pray. Imagine the excitement that will be generated when we pray seeking God’s direction and doing it together as family, we can change ourselves and our city through the power of Christ.
So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:16
FYI – We are also seeking to replace the flooring downstairs, if you would like to give to this project please note
that on your donation.
