Over that past few weeks the question that has been floating around my head is, “Who is Emmanuel Baptist Church?” Our Pastor Search Committee as they talk to candidates, I’m sure asked that question. Who are we? Whatever Emmanuel means to you, whoever Emmanuel is to you, we cannot forget that just like at the beginning of our Mission Statement, Emmanuel Baptist Church must be “TO THE GLORY OF GOD”. We do get many benefits of being a part of a body of believers, we gain accountability fellowship, encouragement, discipleship but all these things must be, for the glory of God. Emmanuel Baptist Church exists for God first and foremost as a place that God will be Preached, Teached and Reached in Weatherford and the world for his Glory.

Colossians 3:17
[17] and whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (ESV)
