Notes from Mark

Notes from Mark

I am blessed to be part of this congregation. This past Sunday my heart was blessed by the pure and sincere generosity of our church family. The story in brief – a lady passing through was in need of help. A medical emergency in her family meant an unexpected trip to Louisiana. Someone at Wal-Mart told her to go to Emmanuel and they would help. She had lost her travel cash and needed to get to Baton Rouge, La. A deacon met her and talked with her. Soon we asked those around if they would be willing to help. Within minutes our people had given her more than enough to get to where she needed to go. It was such a blessing to see people so willing to help. And what a great testimony that someone at Wal-Mart would send her to our church. Thank you EBC for sharing and showing the love of Christ.

I hope you are planning to be at church this Sunday for our Sunday School and worship and then for the Thanksgiving Dinner that evening at 5. We have MUCH to be thankful for!

So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10
