Last week, I shared from Gregory Koukl’s book, Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions, he suggests three things we must have to represent Jesus in today’s world:
- The basic knowledge necessary for the task
- Wisdom to present the Gospel message clearly and in a persuasive manner
- Character, we must embody Christian virtues, we must walk our talk.
Gregory Koukl provides ten suggestions for us as to represent Jesus. I shared the first five last week. I will share the second five this week.
The second five suggestions are:
- be fair, be sympathetic and understanding…
- be honest, be careful with the facts and do not misrepresent the Gospel…
- be humble, know that we could be wrong, that our understanding of truth is fallible…
- be attractive, act with grace, kindness, and good manners, do not dishonor Jesus with our conduct…
- be dependent, trust in the Holy Spirit to help us.
Let’s represent Jesus to those who are around us. Let’s be ready, in season and out, to share Jesus with others.
