Whom or what do you reflect?

Whom or what do you reflect?

Whom or what do you reflect? You have heard people say something to the effect that “you can see the glory of God in their face.” Or remember reading about Moses and after his visits with God his face shone so bright he had to cover it before the people? I know I have said I want to reflect the glory of God and I am sure many of you have as well. What do we mean by this? To reflect an image is to in some way display the original image as if by a mirror. Which means in order to do so, one must be able to see the original image. So for us to reflect the glory of God, we must be able to see God and do His bidding. Thus as believers in Christ, we constantly look at our lives in accordance with how Christ lived His life; and are
our actions, thoughts and words Christ-like. The act of becoming a Christian is simple, living out the Christian faith is demanding. But we have one who lives for us, who intercedes for us and shows us the way. Christ lived and died to restore that relationship which had been broken. We live for Christ to share the Good news of Christ to those who don’t even realize the man/God relationship is damaged. Then let us strive to reflect the beauty, holiness and glory of God, living our lives to the fullest.

but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in, which he walked. I John 2:5-6
